This proud mama of 3 girls is opening up for the first time about her struggles with motherhood, physical injuries and self-limiting beliefs that can keep you stuck. When even every doctor told her that she needed to stop exercising in order to heal…..until it didn’t and then she started to pave her own path to getting her mind, body and spirit strong and healthy again following her own intuition and passion for running, exercising and learning to count her small victories.

She is a trusted Fitness & Lifestyle Expert based in Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. Movement Is Healing

If you are in pain physically, mentally, spiritually…how often do you hear ‘are you exercising?’ we ALL know the health benefits are so extensive to name and in this conversation Idalis puts a few of them to the forefront by sharing her own injuries and how even Doctors had told her not to exercise….until it made it all WORSE. Sometimes you just have to follow your gut and start slow, very slow to get back on track. Persistance is key in these moments and Idalis has the past to prove it. Mamas, You’ve Got This! Slow and steady wins the race…isn’t that how the story goes anyways…so don’t rush improvement, stop rushing results, stop comparing your body, slow and steady wins the race with yourself.

You will always have a postpartum body…deal with it!

Okay, sounds a bit harsh but did I get your attention? The point is that so many new mothers and other mothers farther along on their journey sometimes get run down by their ‘new & not sure if improved’ motherly bodies…are your hips wider, your ribcage wider, your breast might be larger or smaller or looking sappy and droppy (thanks to all those breastfeeding sessions)…well then get used to looking new. And like Idalis says in this conversation ‘we are not our bodies’, you’ve got to learn to embrace it as is and work with it…you and me together forever we can feel better and stronger again (if you put in the time, discipline of course).

Mamas, focus on your glutes aka your tiny or large butt

A flat stomach, Strong legs, Non-Jiggly arms when you are saying hello to someone or Hips that puff out the sides of your underwear….sounds familiar…maybe yes, maybe no but believe it or not, Idalis says that for us mothers, we should be focusing on strengthening other more important parts of our womanly bodies for overall health.
