My Outfit: GAP Denim jacket, GAP Jeans (old, similar here), GAP t-shirt, jcrew velvet belt worn as bracelet (old), necklace (old)
Denim has always been an item in everyone’s closet. You might even own a few too many pairs since they come in so many washes and lenghts and designs. Spring had new trends of embroidered denim, patches, fringe bottoms and what I am calling a double denim style wearing different denim clothing together.
This post is a style inspiration for you on this double denim style and how you can wear it on a daily basis.
Denim is what?
What I love about denim is that it is a very durable fabric. Denim is usually 100% cotton. Today companies are adding spandex for comfort and stretch while you may also find polyester added for wrinkle-free purposes.
In many places Spring is already in full bloom, I must say that here in Montreal it has been very late in showing up. What to do when the stores are already packed with summer shorts and floral dresses making us dream of our next vacation??
Looking for a Spring update myself I found this denim jacket that could help with the in-between season we’ve been getting. I found this denim jacket and LOVED it because it is longer than most jean jackets (I have a long upper body-torso so most styles are to short on me) and the fabric is so soft. It also has the belt option and pockets which are very useful. I wore it out and about with my son but I can’t wait to wear it with a dress like this , this or this for Summer.
The way I am wearing it now is with a darker denim. By wearing two opposite shades of denim it looks modern yet casual for everyday.
These days denim is the most worn item of clothing and there are multiple ways to wear it. Staying with the denim on denim style, here are some inspiration on how you can update your style around this light\dark trend.
