[bigletter custom_class=””]Mike Rowe, host of Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, entered into the world online fashion critic earlier this year when he discovered a pair of $425 jeans on sale at Nordstrom’s from the brand PRPS. He positioned them as another volley in “our country’s War on Work.” He continued, “They’re…

This place has been listed as Huffington Post’s 2017 “most beautiful beach towns in the world” as well as their 2015 “insanely beautiful small towns from around the world” list, so it’s no wonder that Sidi Bou Said was at the top of my “must visit” places while in Tunisia.
2 CommentsOne of the things that Kais was very adament in showing me was the South of Tunisia, more specifically a part of their desert. My only part was “yes” or “no” when he would ask me: “would you like to visit this or this?” However, I kept having this feeling that maybe it would not be a great idea going knowing that I was pregnant. After all, 38-40 degrees weather, honestly, this girl from the northern part of Canada was not great in handling very hot destinations….especially pregnant. However, in the end I gave in to my curiosity and we drove 6 hours South of Sousse to the city of Tozeur.
What is interesting about Tunisia is you have different landscapes, while the North is colder and the East Coast borders the Sea, the South is where the desert lies.
Comments closedBefore meeting my partner Kais, whom is originally from Tunisia, I had never heard, let alone showed any interest in visiting this country. Let’s be honest, it isn’t the most advertised country. So for the next few blog posts, I wanted to let you discover through my photos more of this beautiful country.
Let me just start by saying that if you do not know anyone in Tunisia that can be your tour guide through the city or if you do not speak the language which is arabic (a tunisian dialect), then I would definitely recommend exploring this country with organized tours. Thankfully, I had Kais who had family and friends giving us recommendations and renting a car made it incredibly easier for us to visit on our own.
Tunisia has little gems located throughout the country for tourist to discover it’s beauty.
Comments closedI think it’s safe to say that most people love to travel or wished they could do it more often. I am always happy to prepare what I will wear on vacation. To prevent from overpacking I have learnt to plan outfits from head to toe (the hat, the jewellery, the clothes, the shoes), and I try, emphasis on try, to wear my outfits at least twice mixed with other pieces to keep my luggage light (it always ends being the maximum weight anyways!). I used to pack lots of jewellery, shoes and handbags before I had Sasha but now I need to include his things in my bags too so I try to pick what will be more versatile.
The one thing I make sure to pack are colorful pieces that will match the tropical feel!
Comments closedTraveling alone can be stressful, the preparation, the packing and the unknown of any new destination. Try adding a child to the equation which in itself is a whole other level of organization. I always try to be prepared for the unexpected, as you should be with a child. However, as a first time travelling to an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean with my family, there are things that I wished I had known before leaving. So here are some tips I have learned travelling to Cuba with my 14 month old son that may help you for your next trip.
